This week's theme is the color apricot, a nice hue that resembles the fruit apricot (duh) and what would be the baby of Orange and Yellow. As we are now transitioning from the summer to fall, this color fits perfectly in both seasons, although we may see a difference in the colors that accompany apricot. Each season offers a different setting, each of which highlights apricot, but regardless of what the circumstance is, apricot is simply a comforting and warming presence.
Summer: The coming of summer means the coming of summer yums! Blueberries, cantaloupe, apricots-oh my! From this introduction, we will view this week's color in the form of the apricot fruit. In the summer season, apricots comes along with a banquet of fruits, vegetables, and herbs, all of which generally come in lighter colors and hues. Similar to its seasonal friends, apricot is a light and refreshing bite-we eat with our eyes and apricots do not disappoint in either sense.
Fall: We know when fall is coming when Mother Nature slowly paints trees with oranges, yellows, reds, and everything in between. Taking a step back and looking at nature's art from afar, the colors blend together and at certain areas, produce apricot.
I love the apricot color because for me, it equates everything that I mentioned above. For me, apricot is the color of comfort.
