The Beginning of the End

It's the first of August, and for us students out there, it's the beginning of the end of summer vacation. To some it may seem like summer vacation had just started, but they're just delusional (probably from sleeping 10 hours a day). When summer first began most students looked like this:

However, as summer comes to an end, we often find students feeling like this:

Many students still have at least two weeks left till the beginning of school, with the exception of some elementary kids who start next week, in which case, watch as much Spongebob Squarepants as possible kid. For those who have over a month, it's time to take action. It might be one measly month, but that's enough time to cross a few things off your bucket list. Do that movie marathon you said you were going to do at the beginning of last school year. Start training for that marathon. All you need is enough motivation to get you outside, onto that sidewalk, then just pretend there's a creeper stalking you, and you'll keep running like there's no tomorrow! However, this only works if you don't turn around and run back inside. Make sure to pick something you can accomplish in a months' time. You don't want to go back to school feeling like a failure.
Thus,it's not the beginning of the end. It's the beginning of the beginning where the end of summer vacation is near. So get off that couch, or get on it, and cross a few things off your list of to-dos.
Warning: Eating three pints of ice-cream will hurt, even though ice-cream is delicious.
