Winter to Spring: Pictures and Videos

As I was walking to work yesterday I encountered a very beautiful scene. It was a very sunny morning. The rays of sunlight were just peaking over the buildings, and you could see the white clouds vividly in the sky. It was supposed to snow that day, and it did, but the snow didn't fall like it normally does. The snow flakes appeared to pause in time, suspended in space. Instead of dropping from the weight of gravity, they stood still, lingering for a while before dancing away with the wind. I heard someone say that the snowflakes were the "embers of winter." I ran outside during my break to take a picture, but the embers were already dying, and they didn't show well on camera. So I just stood there, basking in the sunlight and watching the white flakes slowly disappear. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but a moment is not worth a thousand pictures. Maybe that's why videos are becoming more and more popular. They allow us to live vicariously through others via the internet. I think eventually there will be more and more inventions promoting virtual experiences. That's scary but fascinating at the same time. What do you think?
